Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. To me, there is no greater joy than being a mother. I have two children who have turned grown into very sweet, responsible, and loving adults. Throughout their childhood and even today, they fill my life with joy and laughter. No, they were not perfect children; their rooms weren't always clean, they didn't always make great grades, they sometimes made friends that I did not approve of. I did not expect perfection, but I did expect that they do their best, be trustworthy and respectful. They did not disappoint me...I am very proud of both of them. Motherhood is so worth it!

Although my mom passed away in February 2006, I still wish her a happy mother's day each year. She was a loving mother and grandmother who's life was cut short by a severe physical injury and that nasty Alzheimer's disease. Fortunately, she only had to live with her physical injury (a broken back that left her bed-ridden) for four months before she went home to be with her Lord and my dad whom she had missed terribly for the past 15 years. She was a woman of faith and loved God and all of her family with all her heart. I love you, Mom. Happy Mother's Day!

My daughter is a mom this year. Jill and her husband Sam had a beautiful baby boy last July. He is such a delight and has developed the sweetest disposition and personality. I know he is being raised as a child of God in a loving home. All the joys of motherhood are yet to be discovered as she and Sam raise Michael. Yes, there will be trials and tribulations but there will also be things that bring great joy and happiness. I know Jill will be a wonderful mother.

And, on a side note, my son David is proposing to his girlfriend today! Summer is also a mother so I will be gaining a daughter-in-law as well as a granddaughter!

I couldn't ask for more that what my life has been blessed with - a wonderful husband, two great children and children-in-laws, and beautiful, sweet grandchildren. Life is good!
